Tackling Challenges at the Offshore-Wind-Workshop with Marispace-X

Launch of the Offshore Wind Workshop hosted by Marispace-X in collaboration with the OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE Foundation and GMT - German Association for Marine Technology today in Hamburg. Here today, we will collectively discuss the key challenges facing the offshore wind industry in current data management and explore ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency to achieve offshore development goals.

The workshop will be led by Frithjof Hennemann, head of the Offshore Wind use case at Marispace-X, who will provide insights into the development of a maritime data ecosystem for digital transformation in the maritime industry.

Marispace-X, a €15 million grant from the Federal Ministry for Economics and Climate Action, is working to facilitate digital collaboration for data-intensive offshore wind projects and provide tools for intelligent and efficient management and analysis in the cloud, with a focus on anytime, anywhere data management and availability. Together with German cloud provider IONOS, north.io GmbH leads the Marispace-X project consortium.

The workshop will start with an overview of the project by Jann Wendt, CEO of north.io GmbH.io and coordinator of Marispace-X, followed by a discussion on the value of maritime data with Ben Dorian Hellmanzik the Marispace-X Work Package Lead for Digital Business Models.

Frithjof Hennemann will then present a case study on how digitization can accelerate offshore projects through a data platform, followed by a discussion on current challenges in dealing with maritime sensor data. We hope that the insights gained during the workshop will contribute to the growth and success of the offshore wind industry in the future.
