Kiel. Last week, together with Kiel Marine Science (KMS), we presented the maritime digitisation project Marispace-X and the two use cases Munition In the Sea and Biological Climate Protection at the Digital Week Kiel.
The presentations by Jann Wendt (north.io GmbH), Natascha Oppelt (Institute of Geography, Kiel University) and Matthias Renz (Institute of Computer Science, Kiel University) and the subsequent discussion focused on questions about the practical application of Marispace-X. How does the maritime digitalisation project Marispace-X support the energy transition? How can we help to find and recover old munitions in the sea? How does Marispace-X help in the exploration of natural CO2 reservoirs such as seagrass beds?

Many thanks to Natascha Oppelt and Matthias Renz for the insights into their work and the trustful cooperation in this Gaia-X project over the last 17 months.
If you would like to know more about Marispace-X and the use case "biological climate protection" through C02 sequestration in seagrass meadows, we recommend the 3SAT-Nano contribution: https://lnkd.in/e55Cd4di
